EdgeWave is a highly innovative provider of high-end INNOSLAB laser sources with short or ultra-short pulse length. The parameter range of short pulse lasers is:

- Beam profile: circular Gaussian, 1D Top-hat and 2D Top-hat
The parameter range of ultra-short pulse lasers is:
- Beam quality: M2 < 2,
- Pulse length: < 10ps
- Pulse rep. rate up to 100MW
- High average power up to 400W
- Beam profile: circular Gaussian, 1D Top-hat and 2D Top-Hat
INNOSLAB lasers with a Gaussian beam profile are especially enabled for precise processing of micro structures with minimal heat-affection. Typical applications are for instance the drilling, ablating, processing and scribing of solar wafers.
INNOSLAB lasers with 1D Top-hat beam profile are ideal beam sources for a widespread ablation of thin-layer in photovoltaic, the automobile industry and also for the annealing of thin crystal layers in the display industry.
INNOSLAB lasers with 2D Top-Hat beam profile are particularly advantageous for deleting and structuring thin-layer for the production of solar cells. The top-hat beam-profiles enable a homogeneous ablation without beam overlapping and a highly efficient usage of pulse energy in comparison to the Gaussian beam profile. The short pulse length reduces the thermal damage to the substrates
