NanoMikroWerkstoffePhotonik Association (NMWP.NRW)

The association NanoMicroMaterialsPhotonics e.V. was initiated in April 2012 by Northrhine-Westfalia´s cluster NanoMicro+Materials.NRW (NMW.NRW) as well as some companies and research institutions. The association will promote Nanotechnology, Microsystems, Materials and Photonics through its identical named divisions. The association serves as a platform for an intense exchange between industry, politics and research. In addition it observes new trends and perspectives and develops means for an active support of the members´ projects.

About the Cluster
The NanoMicro+Materials.NRW (NMW.NRW) cluster was established in the year 2009 as the central strategic instrument, with the aim of turning the state of North Rhine-Westphalia into the most competitive and most dynamic knowledge-based economic area in these fields of technology throughout Germany. In this regard, the cluster acts as the first point of contact for companies and science in the area of NMW. The cluster policy promotes cooperation of companies, research institutions and the public sector along the value chain in a total of 5 leading markets with 16 industry and technology fields.
